The Somerset & Dorset Railway really came to life on summer Saturdays, particularly during the 1950’s. One of the lines Derby built 2-8-0’s No. 53808 and a 2P 4-4-0 No. 40700 double-head a southbound train whilst a train from the south arrives behind a West Country No. 34043 ‘Coombe Martin’.
